Shanna Young is a native of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. She comes from a military background where both of her parents served in the Army. She applied for the Administrative Associate position at the University of Minnesota’s Army ROTC program in the fall of 2023. 

Shanna has returned to our ROTC program after spending 2 years working for Extension at the University of Minnesota. Previously, she worked for the Army ROTC as a Human Resources Assistant from the fall of 2005 through the spring of 2021. 

In July 2005, she left the Army as a Human Resources Specialist.
