CPT Austin Hultman is originally from Little Canada, Minnesota.  He attended the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities and was commissioned in 2013 through ROTC.  After completing IBOLC and Ranger School, CPT Hultman’s first assignment was with 2-501 PIR, 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC, where he served as a Rifle Platoon Leader and Heavy Weapons Platoon Leader.  After completing RASP II in 2016, he was re-assigned to the Special Troops Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment at Fort Benning, GA, where he served as the S3 Air Officer.  Following that assignment, CPT Hultman served as a Company Executive Officer for TF 1-28IN at Fort Benning, GA.  Following MCCC in 2018, CPT Hultman served as a BN AS3 for 2-3 IN, 7th Infantry Division at JBLM, WA.  In 2019, CPT Hultman took command of Blackhorse Company, 2-3 IN.  After 18 months in command, CPT Hultman completed RASP II once again to serve in the 75th Ranger Regiment.  His PCS was denied due to family reasons, and he was then hired as an APMS for the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities Army ROTC program.  CPT Hultman has been married for seven years to his wife, Jes, who is an RN at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s hospital, and they have three children, Remi (4), Harper (4), and Lincoln (3).  They currently reside in Lindstrom, MN.
