CPT Daniel Hekter enlisted in the Iowa National Guard in 2011 as an infantryman (11B).  After two years as an enlisted Soldier, he was commissioned through Iowa State University in 2013 as a Field Artillery Second Lieutenant.  He holds a BS in Management and Management Information Systems from Iowa State University.  CPT Hekter comes from Ft Riley, where he served as the DIVARTY Fire Control Officer (FCO).  CPT Hekter resides in Oakdale, MN with his fiancée, Kelsey.
